  • Therapy for Depression

Depression can turn everyday life into a grueling struggle. It can leave you feeling isolated, hopeless, and disconnected from the joys you once cherished. It's a weighty burden that impacts your emotions and relationships, career, and overall life.

We understand the distinct challenges that millennial women and teens face. We recognize how difficult it can be to seek help, and we're here to make that initial step as seamless as possible. You don't have to navigate this journey by yourself. We are here to support you every step of the way.

  • Therapy for Burnout

Your cup is empty. You've poured everything into your job, family, partner, and friends, leaving nothing for yourself.

Before you reach the breaking point and consider walking away from it all, let's seek help.

Imagine chipping away at that overwhelming to-do list, redefining your relationships, and voicing your needs to feel more fulfilled and rested. It's possible to truly enjoy the life you've built.

  • Therapy for Trauma

The healing process from trauma is unique to each individual. It can take varying amounts of time, depending on the person. Some might start to feel better within weeks or months, while others may need more time to recover. In some instances, trauma symptoms can persist for years, requiring ongoing treatment.

The duration of the healing process hinges on several factors: the severity of the trauma, the individual's support system, and any concurrent mental health conditions like depression or anxiety.

Recovery is rarely a straight path; there will be setbacks and challenging moments.

  • Therapy for Teens & Young Adults

None of us are scared of teens here. We think they’re pretty awesome. Adolescence and emerging adulthood is a developmental stage between 13-25 years.

It is a time of significant change where you navigate new roles, relationships, and responsibilities.

Counseling services can provide support, guidance, and resources to help emerging adults manage stress, cope with challenges, and develop new approaches to relationships and life. Therapy can help emerging adults build a strong foundation for their future success and well-being.

  • EMDR Therapy

EMDR, or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, is a type of psychotherapy that effectively treats individuals who have experienced trauma.

EMDR therapy is a structured and evidence-based treatment effective in treating post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and anxiety disorders.

It can be an effective tool for clients seeking to address and overcome the effects of trauma and improve their mental health.

  • Individual Supervision & Consultation

Individual clinical supervision provides one-on-one feedback to social workers, therapists, or potential therapists to help them hone their craft and practice.

During individual clinical supervision sessions, the supervisor and therapist discuss client cases, explore different treatment approaches and types of therapy, and address any ethical or boundary issues that may arise.

The supervisor also provides the therapist feedback, guidance, and support, helping them develop their clinical judgment, refine their counseling services, and feel grounded in their decision-making abilities.

  • Group Supervision or Consultation

Group supervision is a collaborative process where a group of provisionally licensed therapists, social workers, or counselors come together to discuss their clinical practice under the guidance of a trained supervisor.
Group clinical supervision promotes learning, reflection, and support among peers in the same field.
Group supervision provides a supportive and non-judgmental environment where therapists can receive feedback, guidance, and peer support, promoting professional development and growth.
This is the time to invest in yourself on your journey to becoming a Colorado-licensed professional counselor or social worker.

Commonly Asked Questions About

Mental Health

  • Psychotherapy treats psychological disorders by interacting with or talking to a psychiatrist, psychologist, professional counselor, or social worker. During psychotherapy, the patient learns more about their moods, thoughts, and behaviors and how this impacts their daily life.

  • Deciding to seek therapy is a personal choice, and there is no single "right" reason to pursue it. However, some common signs may indicate therapy could be helpful. For example, suppose someone is experiencing persistent sadness, anxiety, hopelessness, struggling with relationships, or struggling to cope with stress or trauma. In that case, therapy may be a beneficial option.

Additionally, if someone has noticed changes in their behavior or mood that negatively impact their daily life, therapy can help them explore and address the underlying issues. Ultimately, the decision to seek therapy should be based on an individual's needs and goals for their mental health and well-being.

  • The cost of therapy depends on the therapist. At Two Rivers Therapy, we charge between $100-$200 per hour for therapy and clinical supervision.

  • That is awesome!

Some folks seek external clinical supervision to focus on professional development outside their workplace. Clinical supervision identifies a formal support, learning, and development system that can benefit new and experienced health professionals by supporting individual development.
